In a public notice, ECG said the planned maintenance will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., affecting several communities within its operational zone.
Areas to be affected include Sowutuom, Israel, Race Course, Shiabu, Beach Road, Gbawe Gonse, Joma Agbozome, Abease, Achiama, Obeyeyie, Ayikai Doblo, Fise Roca, Mericresent, Opah Township, Red Gate, and nearby communities.
According to ECG, the exercise is part of routine upgrades aimed at improving the reliability and quality of power supply.
“ECG will undertake planned maintenance works to improve service delivery,” the company said.
The power distributor apologised for any inconvenience the outage may cause and appealed for public understanding and cooperation.
“ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise,” the statement added.
Residents and businesses in the affected areas are encouraged to take necessary precautions and plan ahead to minimise the impact of the temporary outage.
