Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has revealed ongoing health risks, disclosing that fragments of bullets from a 2019 assassination attempt remain lodged in her head.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, the actress shared scenes from recent hospital visits, showing her undergoing a series of medical scans and tests.
She disclosed that the past two weeks have been particularly challenging, as she grapples with recurring symptoms and complications related to the shooting incident.
Okorie noted that doctors have discovered additional bullet fragments in her head during the latest examinations. She is currently under medical supervision and has been placed on bed rest.
“The last two weeks have been so hectic, lovers. It’s been one hospital or the other, running some series of tests on my head and body. I haven’t been feeling too well, so my doctor advised I should be placed on bed rest. Seriously, good health is underestimated. I went for my check-ups, and it was found that there are still fragments of bullet pellets in my head. As years go by, more still come out,” she said.
The actress, who survived a reported attack by suspected gunmen in December 2019, has since been vocal about the trauma she endured.
At the time, she claimed she was shot multiple times while returning from a performance, with X-rays showing her skull peppered with bullet fragments.
Her latest revelation has sparked concern among fans and colleagues, many of whom flooded her social media with messages of support and prayers for recovery.
Okorie’s health update serves as a reminder of the long-term physical and emotional scars that victims of violent attacks often carry, even years after the incident.
