Executive Committee member of the defunct Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kofi Manu has debunked claims that he went to the president of the GFA Normalisation Committee (NC), Dr Kofi Amoah to beg for job.
According to him, when Dr Amoah was appointed by FIFA to take charge of Ghana football, he saw him as a brother and wanted to just offer help.
The former Vice Chairman of the player Status Committee said he had enough experience during his days in Cameroon and Ghana so far as football is concerned and only wanted to protect Dr Amoah, who was new in the game, from being trapped by Ghanaians.
“I have never asked Dr Amoah to give me job; what happened was that I told him that Ghanaians are like the Pharisees and the Israelites, when Jesus came, they were the same people who hailed Jesus when he came and they are the same people who said crucify him, so he [Dr Amoah] should be very careful since he is now in charge of Ghana football,” he told Asempa Sports.
“I further told him that Cameroonians invited me on several occasions when they were under normalisation, so you are my brother and I don’t want people to mislead you into any problem, so I’m available at any time if you want my services; that was all, I just wanted to help,” he insisted.
‘Blue Blue’, as he is known in football circles, was captured in the Anas’ ‘Number 12’ expose’ receiving sums of money to compromise his office.
But, he said the expose’ was just a movie which was planned by enemies of the Football Association to just disgrace them.
