Nine-year-old Ghanaian dancer and artiste Maame Yaa Wells Amissah, popularly known as MaameYaaWells , has donated 400 sanitary pads to Queen of Peace School in Madina as part of efforts to support young girls and promote menstrual hygiene awareness.

The donation, which was made on Thursday, July 9, 2026, was carried out through her initiative, the Wells Aid Foundation, and forms part of her growing commitment to using her platform to create social impact.

MaameYaaWells , who is regarded as one of Ghana’s youngest female artistes, personally funds her outreach activities through proceeds from her dance performances and online platforms; an initiative that has earned her recognition beyond entertainment.

Her humanitarian journey began on February 14, 2026, when she fed over 300 people at Madina Zongo Junction and donated educational materials to children in the community.

Since then, the young performer has continued to combine her passion for entertainment with philanthropy, using her influence to support and inspire others.

The sanitary pad donation to Queen of Peace School is expected to help address challenges associated with menstrual hygiene among schoolgirls while encouraging conversations around menstrual health.

Through her work, MaameYaaWells continues to demonstrate that age is not a barrier to making a positive difference, inspiring young people to use their talents and opportunities to impact society.
