Eight persons have been arrested in connection with a robbery syndicate in the Kwahu area.

The suspected robbers include Ernest Ofosu Appiah aged 35-years; Collins Kissi 18-years; Kwasi Appiah  23-years; Kennedy Boamah  27-years; Anim Foster 18years; Yaw Darkwah 36 years and Esther Achia 56years.

The suspects were arrested at their various hideouts at Mpreaso and Bepong following police intelligence.

They are suspected to be behind recent stealing cases within the Kwahu enclave.

Eight amplifiers, a standing lamb, Ipad, Six laptops,  colour printer, digital receiver, a spraying gun, Roaster, digital recorder, 2  computer CD, a keyboard and one guitar were retrieved from them after a search.

The Kwahu area has gained notoriety for armed robbery in recent times.

Residents of Kwahu for some time now, have been leaving in fears of both petty thefts and armed robbery.
