Four persons have been arrested for stealing railway tracks at Obom near Amasaman in the Greater Accra region.
The four suspects were apprehended around midnight while cutting rails belonging to the Ghana Railway Company.
Confirming the incident, the Amasaman Divisional Police Commander, Chief Supt Christopher Klomegah, said some witnesses notified the patrol team about the crime around 12:15 am.
According to him, they laid ambush and apprehended them and afterward handed them over to the police.
