Ghanaian actor and football enthusiast Yaw Dabo has joined the growing list of celebrities throwing their support behind the Black Stars ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Group L encounter against England.

Dabo, who is in the United States as an accredited media representative, was spotted reporting live from the Black Stars’ final training session at Bryant University on Monday as the team wrapped up preparations for Tuesday’s showdown at Gillette Stadium in Boston.

After observing the session, the actor made his way into camp where he interacted with members of the squad and shared lighthearted moments with the players.

In videos circulating online, Dabo encouraged the Black Stars not to be intimidated by the English side despite the stature of their opponents.

He reminded the players that millions of Ghanaians are firmly behind them and urged them to approach the game with confidence and determination.

The actor also challenged the team to go for goals and victory, expressing optimism that they have what it takes to secure a positive result.

His visit came at a time when confidence is high in the Ghana camp following the Black Stars’ 1-0 victory over Panama in their opening Group L fixture at BMO Stadium in Toronto.

The team’s final training session also brought encouraging news, with midfielder Thomas Partey returning to full training after missing the Panama match. Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi also trained with the squad despite concerns after limping off during the opener.

Ghana and England head into the encounter level on three points, making Tuesday’s fixture a potentially decisive one in the race for qualification from Group L.
