A woman has been arrested for allegedly filming an altercation between a police officer and dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.
The woman, whose identity has been withheld was picked up and later granted bail for allegedly capturing the video of Shatta gesturing and swearing at a Police Officer.
The dancehall artiste was said to be driving an unregistered vehicle and was stopped for interrogation by the police officer.

It is not clear yet if the police officer pursued the case but the video of Shatta gesturing has since gone viral.
It has emerged that the one who captured the scene of the altercation is rather the target of a possible police prosecution.
The woman who was arrested told Joy News she did not capture the video but was seen in it.

  1. this is laughable, hahahahaaaaa. instead of arresting the offender shatta wale, the police has arrested somebody who appeared in the video. Ghana police where is your thinking cap and respect?

  2. Where on this earth in the 20th Century’s Freedom of Expression, even in lieu of the Vienna treaty which we know very well as a nation and journalism practitioners; and to our (Ghana) Police who are always participating in the United Nations Peacekeeping (Aha!!!!)and for the sake of human freedom, security and peace, has videoing; photographing or any other means of recording public-place activity becomes a crime, if the arresting officer(s) has or have nothing to hide and to protect? See; we failed woefully as a nation, to ‘beat’ into proper perspective our ever-deviating police force at home and they ended up soiling the Ghana’s hard-earned reputation in the recently reported South Sudan’s “paid sex” scandal, and we still choose to countenance faux pas. Hey, let’s them release the innocent lass with immediate effect and mind their own rotten business, for goodness sake!
