Communications Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare
Addo has responded to reports in the media that his outfit has acquired an
ultra-modern bus.

According to him, such assertions in the media are all rumours,
adding that the club is in no competition with archrivals, Asante Kotoko.

Ghana’s current sole representative in the 2019 CAF
Confederations Cup, Asante Kotoko acquired a new bus for the playing body last
year.

Following the acquisition, fans of sworn rivals, Hearts of
Oak, have sent indications to their leadership that their club will need a
similar deal by spreading a well-branded bus in their colours.

The Hearts of Oak management member explained that the moves
are social media gimmicks that the club will acquire a quality bus soon and not
because Asante Kotoko have one.

According to him, it is in the plans of the club’s
management to get a new bus and it will be soon.

“We know all fans and people who love Hearts of Oak wish for
a new bus and we will get one. However, our decision to buy a new bus will not
be because our archrivals have a new one. We are not in any form of competition
with Asante Kotoko”, he explained.

Touching on other issues relating to the club, Opare Addo stressed that the observation of staff performance is ongoing and the club has no legal tussle with Karela FC over their latest player, so far as their books show them.

Meanwhile, the playing body of Hearts of Oak returned to fullscale training Wednesday after taking an early break on December 21, last year.
