Actress and producer Yvonne Okoro has denied telling Graphic Showbiz that men do not have balls to ask her out.

Few weeks ago, the actress’ interview with the paper became talk of town, even foreign blogs fed on the story that suggested she had said she was single because men were not bold enough to propose to her.

Yvonne, who was a guest at the Glitz Women of Honours, told JoyNews’ MzGee, she is certain her submission to Graphic Showbiz was misconstrued.

“I think that it’s been totally misconstrued. The interviewer asked me if I was single and I said, reluctantly, yes, if you know me very well, I don’t discuss my private life, if I am dating, I would still tell you I’m single.”

Aside addressing that issue, the actress, in appreciation of her mother’s determination to ensure she was well trained, highlighted how her mom did not spare the rod to her rot.

She narrates how spending her fees back in her Senior Secondary School days resulted in her attracting the beating of her life.

“My parents gave me my fees for the first time and I spent it. I think I intentionally spent it because I wanted to come home. Instead of going [to school], I went to Jackie Appiah’s house, we went chilling,” she narrated.

Yvonne added that, “My mother called the school, wanting to speak to me, just to find out how I was doing and when she called, they said Yvonne Okoro she’s left a long time ago. I didn’t cover my tracks well.”
