Imagine being a musician and for over a decade your fans have been singing wrongly one of your most popular songs that you cannot have control over.

The song is so much endowed that its timeless nature makes people forget what the real lyrics might really say.

Ghanaian music maestro, Kojo Antwi had to stop his music band to correct parts of his lyrics off his ‘Medofo Pa’ song that many of his fans hugely patronised at the 2019 Ghana World Music Festival.

The music legend created an atmosphere that got patrons in awe at the sight of him singing – they didn’t want to let him go.

Performing at the Fantasy Dome at Trade Fair, he asked his band men to pull up for a quick correction.

There is a point where the lyrics sound like ‘Tumtum Brane’ meaning ‘a thick tall dark-skinned person’ in Twi but most people sing it ‘Tuntum Broni’, literally meaning ‘a black person looking white in colour’ and Kojo couldn’t allow that.
