Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has shot down a promise by Acting Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay to supply each constituency with a bus.

The maverick legislator says the move is not only a waste of money but one that is not plausible.

Mr. Blay, promised he was going to provide each constituency with a bus for use as a commercial vehicle to raise funds for the party’s organization at the grassroots.

The buses are expected to be supplied before the party’s national executive elections on 7th July, 2018.

But Mr. Agyapong told  Adom TV’s Morning Show, “Badwam” on Tuesday that management of the buses would be problematic.

“275 buses for constituencies? I don’t have a problem with Freddie Blay if he buys the buses; giving them to the constituencies is my problem. They will not even manage it well.

How can they work efficiently with a bus without spending money unnecessarily,” he quizzed.

Mr Agyapong rather wants Mr. Blay to focus his attention on something that could be profitable to the party than the supply of buses.

“Freddie Blay should rather buy the buses and gift to them for free. They can’t use the buses to generate any income. It won’t work.  How can a Ghanaian run transport successfully? I know them more than my dress. I can tell you that business won’t succeed,” he said.
