Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Shatta Wale said he will only opt for co-parenting and joint custody of their son, Majesty, rather than going back into a relationship with Michy.

He told Andy Dosty that he has apologised severally, but Michy never gave him the green light to bury their past to continue their love life.

It’s just that we can’t be together any more. We have a son, but coming back? We cannot come back, but as parents, we can take care of our son. One painful thing about a relationship that hurts is when you are with the woman for a long time, and she goes away. I am that type that makes sure she has money and all that stuff, Shatta said.

Talking about their son, Shatta Wale said Michy doesn’t give him the chance to see or spend quality time with him.

He further bemoaned the fact that Michy has tagged him as an irresponsible father, meanwhile, he has provided her with a house and car even after they parted ways years ago.

I have apologised many times. People think I don’t cry. Real men cry, if you don’t, you are not a gangster. I asked her, why don’t you go out and tell people that I have bought you a car and a house. She doesn’t tell anyone. A week after I gave her the money to pay for the house, she was on TV saying all stuff. I gave her 5,000 dollars and my Benz on my bday. She doesn’t want to take the pain out, and I don’t know the sin I have caused her not to see my son, he told Andy Dosty.

The Shatta Movement leader also said he doesn’t like his son growing dreadlocks, but Michy has decided to do it for him anyway.

“This guy be my guy, and that day, you… end of the story: they seized the car. I swear, nobody knows that secret. It’s only God who knows,” Stonebwoy narrated.

To Stonebwoy, to have been called by Shatta Wale to ride with him proved he was not at war with his fellow musician.

An eyewitness, Emmanuel Nyame, narrating the incident to Abusua FM said Shatta Wale who is addicted to tramadol and alcohol locked himself in his room and attempted the suicide.

Rap Sofo Obrafour has added his voice to the brouhaha between Shatta Wale and other Ghanaian artistes.

Shatta Wale who has been on a media tour to promote the release of his upcoming album titled “Reign” made a stop at Hitz FM last week to have an interview with morning host Andy Dosty during which he passed some derogatory comments against some artistes in the entertainment industry.

After his interview, some artistes like Kwaw Kese, Stonebwoy and Gemini responded to his comment stating that he was a fake person who claims to preach peace but ends up doing the opposites with Kwaw Kese and Gemini even providing proofs to back their claims.

Well, Godfather of rap Obrafour has also in an interview lashed out at the self-acclaimed Dancehall King saying that he speaks by heart without thinking about what problem it might cost others.

In a video, Obrafour stated that Shatta Wale’s behaviour was as a result of not getting well trained in that aspect that was why he always behave that way.

Speaking to Prince Tsegah on Hitz 103.9fm Monday, Shatta Capo as he is popularly known, disclosed that a day before the death of the dancehall artiste, he heard one of her popular songs “Maame Hw3” around 1:00 am to 3:00 am which he did not understand.

According to him, he woke up in the morning only to hear the news that Ebony had died through accident.

Shatta Capo noted that after the news got to him he sought to find out from God if it was his plan but he found out it was not God’s divine plan.
“When the news broke that the girl or the celebrity had passed away through accident, I kept quiet. I went to God and asked God because I knew her (Ebony Reigns). When this thing happened, the first thing I did was to find out whether it was God’s divine plan for the lady and I found out that it wasn’t God’s plan for her to die”, he stated.
But Mr. Mensah who could not reveal whose plan it was, extended his condolence on behalf of the Shatta Movement (SM) empire to the bereaved family and friends.

Priscilla Opoku – Kwarteng aka Ebony Reigns, died in a gory accident when she was returning from Sunyani to Kumasi when the car she was travelling in collided head-on with a VIP bus.

Ebony, born on February 16, 1997, was a Ghanaian dancehall artiste best known for her hit songs, “Poison”, “Kupe” and the latest “Maame wh3”. She was discovered by Bullet a member of the Ghanaian singers group, Ruff n Smooth.
Her death shook the whole country as many prominent people including current and former Presidents paid glowing tributes to her.

Commenting on the matter in an exclusive interview with Prince Tsegah on Hitz FM Monday, Mr Charles Mensah Snr. popularly known as Shatta Capo said his son will not die.

According to him, he is the father of Shatta Wale and that God would have revealed to him first even before Shatta Wale is born.
Shatta Capo could not fathom why these prophets have failed to redeem what God has revealed to them but rather choose to always prioritize the negatives.

Shatta Capo said the prophets have done a great disservice to his son and Ghanaians for failing to consult him (Shatta Capo) on the prophecies.
“If God revealed to you about the death of someone, I think the best thing to do was to consult me first, or even Shatta then we know how to deal with the issue and not tell the world about it just to put fear in people. They should give me a break, I begot him and it would be appropriate if they got in touch with me”, he said.

He added that “Shatta Wale has been called musically by God. We are in a close relationship with God. If they failed to come out to talk then they have done a great disservice to my son and to Ghanaians”.

“When Ebony was alive, the media here, insulted her,” Shatta Wale fumed.

Ebony’s provocative dress code and sexual innuendos from day one, instigated so much controversy but the dancehall diva could not be bothered as she continuously expressed her fashion sense and used puns in her songs.
Ebony, known in real life as Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, died in a gory accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway – a few days before she was scheduled to start a European tour.

Shatte Wale has threatened to lead the Shatta movement to burn down churches if he’s still alive by December 2018.

His threats follows a prediction by a Kumasi-based Prophet E. K. Mensah of the Christ Vision Prayer Ministry, indicating that he will be the next star to die by the end of 2018 if he fails to repent.
But reacting to the development on Adom TV’s Morning Show, “Badwam” , Mr Lutterodt who also doubles as a pastor said a prophecy is a prophecy and though some may not happen immediately, the word of God will definitely manifest itself.

“Prophecy is prophecy; it is the word of God that is revealed and they may not happen now but the word of God will definitely manifest therefore the prophets should pray for him because he needs it [prayers]” he said.
Counselor, Lutterodt noted that whatever Shatta Wale did on Facebook that has made people happy, whether the prophecy is true or not, “on behalf of the SM family that I am part of, we are apologise”, he added.

Infact i trust if my TWI was good at that time i would hv been in it but u said one thing which touched my heart at that tender age that “wow boy, you are very good and will go far just learn the twi for me ok” reads part of the post on Facebook.

Shatta Wale, who condemned doomsday prophets, said he does not understand why prophets do not see anything positive and good prophecies but claim to see only issues concerning death and calamities.

In an interview with Moro Awudu on Class FM’s Executive Breakfast Show on Monday, February 12, Shatta said he does not believe in fake prophecies and will not give attention to charlatans who give death prophecies about him.
Asked if he intends to sing about the rate of doomsday prophecies against celebrities, he responded in the affirmative adding: “That one, I will do it”.
His comments come in the wake of a supposed prophecy about him.
A Ghanaian pastor identified as Prophet Agyei Fredua Agyeman predicted the death of Shatta Wale urging Ghanaians to pray for the singer as he sees another national mourning and a tragic end of the popular singer.
Prophet-Cosmos Walker Affran wrote on his Facebook page:
“Ghana should pray, I see a national mourning again the whole nation was in tears and this time is Ghanaian singer “Shatta Wale”, and it is very close “death”. ” Thus saith the Lord.”
However, Shatta has said that he will burn the church of any pastor, who has made any negative declarations if he is still alive by December, 2018.
“I will come to your station (Class FM) by December before I burn those churches. Mark this, I’m not joking about this. It’s a threat about my life and the country does not care and the police doesn’t want to look for him (prophet). When I shot a gun in my house the police came for me. They invited me, who reported me? I don’t know. How can somebody give me a threat if I’m a national asset to the nation?
“That is what the bible says about end times. Fake prophets and fake prophecies. When you believe in them you will die with them. I don’t believe in prophets and I don’t believe in juju. I believe in God, I don’t trust in any man,” he added.
He however indicated that his comments against pastors are not directed at renowned men of God in the country who are doing God’s work judiciously. He indicated that he fears God and respects real pastors such as Archbishop Nicholas Duncan- Williams, Pastor Mensah Otabil and Rev Owusu Bempah, among others.

In a Twitter post, Shatta Wale said although he appreciates those who try to paint him, he would not condone any appalling work from any artiste that has not mastered his art.
“I appreciate those who draw me but if you haven’t mastered your art, don’t come close to me. I no dey play like that,” he wrote.
One fan of his requested that he sues the artist, but Shatta Wale did not reply.

Shatta Wale who is known in private life as Charles Nii Amarh Mensah, is seen shaking his body violently in the dance while winding his waist with his right leg in the air.
The video was shot by Ghanaweb during his performance at the Tema Sports Stadium during his ‘Shatta Wale Live In Tema’ Concert.
The Concert was also dubbed “The Untamed Energy Concert” and according to an earlier report YEN.com.gh, less than 500 people could be counted at the venue.
According to the report, as at midnight, less than 200 patrons had arrived for the Shatta Wale Live in Tema Concert, when tickets were sold at an affordable price at GHC20.
In order to increase the numbers the gates to the concert grounds were opened ajar so that fans could be gain access to the venue free of charge but still the numbers were not encouraging.
Nevertheless, the number at the event couldn’t stop the king of dancehall from doing what he knows best.
He was on top of his game, thrilling his ‘few’ fans with his catchy, dance-able and above all hit songs.
The Tema Sports Stadium went haywire when Shatta Wale began his ‘crazy’ dance moves.
As expected, some fans joined in the dance moves as they chant his name.
Last year, Shatta Wale set an enviable record of releasing over a hundred (100) songs in just one year.
He also made most of the headlines with his controversies including slapping his bodyguard on stage and starting a ‘war’ with Nigerian artistes.
Undoubtedly, Shatta Wale’s most beautiful moment in 2017 was when he had the opportunity to meet President Akufo Addo at the Flagstaff House few days after his (Shatta’s) birthday.

In an interview on Kasapa 102.3 FM, Wale said he doesn’t consider Nigerian artiste, Wizkid as a super star. He added that there is nothing extraordinary about the ‘Ojuelegba‘ act.
“People don’t have that mind to elevate themselves that is why nowadays people see Wizkid and say wow he’s a star. I don’t see Wizkid to be too much for me but Ghanaians see him like that and artistes also see him like that. I will not see Wizkid and be stunned, I rather want him to see me and be amazed because properties and investments are talking,” explained Wale on Kasapa 102.3 FM.
“Don’t be wearing fake chains and tell me you’re number one artiste in Africa because I don’t get scared with those things. That’s why when I preach about making money in the music business, I say it and say it well for people to see that this is no joke thing.”
His comments led to a severe backlash from Nigerians on Twitter.

Reacting to the statement on Happy FM’s ‘Showbiz Xtra’, Saturday, Tic Tac said he was not surprised about the ‘sarcastic’ response.
“We all know he plays too much. This is another disrespect. These are all part of his machinations. For me, that’s just like a sarcastic approach to the whole issue. He should just be careful with those things. I don’t want to be in that game with him,” he noted.

Shatta Wale further revealed, “I have visited lots of mallams, let me say 10 million of them, they couldn’t do what I needed from them. You have no idea the things I was searching in this world but it took the intervention of God who showed me the right way.”
The self-acclaimed dancehall king further stated that “Everything shall pass away but the word of God will still remain; in life you have to believe the maker, I know who I am, people don’t know their identity that’s why they fail in life.
“When I’m talking, I talk with confidence, I don’t talk with fear, I don’t talk nonsense, I talk straight forward, some people think I talk nonsense, I know when they realized it’s God that is working for me, they will come to me and those people are going to be baptized with Shatta movement because Shatta movement is of God”.

But you don’t need to look far to know that Ghana is another lawless nation, where laws exist but they’re not respected.  We sometimes expose ourselves to public ridicule when we naively confuse the presence of laws to mean that they work.
So there are laws here but they are there to serve as sweeteners for speeches of judges when they’re sentencing a poor man for stealing a goat.
But they don’t work when it matters most.

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale should be arrested for slapping bodyguard

And in this case, it was supposed to matter minutes after dancehall artiste Shatta Wale slapped one of his bodyguards in public for driving away a fan from the stage. All those who watched the video, published on several online news portals, will tell you that they felt the pain of the bodyguard after the slap was delivered.
But for some reasons, the bodyguard has chosen faltering loyalty over his safety when he told Ghanaians to mind their business in a post-event video.
I don’t think the state needs the bodyguard to report the incident to the police before something is done about it. The police must act swiftly as they did when they arrested artiste Wisa Greid for allegedly showing his manhood in public.
Shatta Wale has said he is a ‘god’ and that those who follow him understand the Shatta Movement (SM) code. Does this include one endangering his life? Maybe yes.
The dancehall artiste has come out with another explanation, saying the incident was staged to drive publicity for him.
“We wanted an act for that night, we thought of a choreography, Shatta Wale coming to dance with a whole maybe 15-man squad doing the same dance, for people to get shocked because people have not seen Shatta Wale dancing before,” he told Andy Dosty on Accra-based Hitz FM, Tuesday.
But his latest theory is as disingenuous as having him invited to the Flagstaff House to share a moment with president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

If there is any artiste who has successfully turned his fortune around, effortlessly, it is Shatta Wale and this is commendable. But he is becoming too violent in public.
He needs to be tamed and made to understand that his actions are constantly jeopardizing public safety. Shatta Wale had a month ago fired a gun into the air in public, perhaps to demonstrate how impotent our laws and law enforcement agencies are.
In the video that went viral on social media, the dancehall artiste was seen firing warning shots allegedly directed at some Nigerian artistes namely Wizkid, Patoranking and Timaya. The Police Public Affairs Directorate has said Shatta Wale’s action contravenes the law, but they have not done anything about it.
His growing notoriety has to be addressed without delay before his actions cause further damage. Shatta Wale can be a ‘god’ in his room, but outside that, the law is, and he has to worship it without fail.
If we want to succeed in the campaign to stop all forms of assault in the society, the police and Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) need to initiate actions against the artiste to serve as a deterrent to others.
The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) needs to rein in its members who are becoming violent, notorious and indecent these days. Sanity must be given a chance.

Bulldog, who once managed Shatta Wale, jokingly said that he will beat the ‘Kakai’ hit singer if he tries to compete with him over Ebony.
“Ebony is my girl. I would have married her if I was single. Besides I’m in talks with my wife to prepare for a second wife. If Shatta tries to compete with me over Ebony, I will beat him,” he said.

Shatta Wale slapped Biggie Sparta, his bodyguard, while he was performing on the S Concert stage on December 1. The incident generated loads of discussions with people calling for an apology from Shatta Wale.
Weeks before that, Shatta Wale stirred controversy after he was spotted in a video firing warning shots into the air.
The video was posted on Facebook by one Kwame Gyan and generated a lot of comments on the subject.

In an interview on Peace FM, Kwabena Kwabena said Shatta Wale’s persistent obstinate misbehaviour is as a result of what Ghanaians have allowed him to exhibit over the years without being punished.
“Shatta Wale’s continues misbehaviour is as a result of what we all natured five years ago and everybody who follows my submissions will understand exactly what I’m saying,” he said.
“This whole Shatta Wale thing started when he kicked chairs and composed diss songs to insult everybody in the industry because he proclaimed they robbed him of the VGMA Dancehall Artiste of the Year to a female dancehall artiste Kaakie in 2013… Charterhouse never took an action on that so that Shatta Wale would be used as a scapegoat to serve as a deterrent to others even though I advised George Quaye,” Kwabena Kwabena explained.
“Rather, Shatta Wale was crowned the Artiste of the Year for 2014 VGMA awards even though he did not attend the award, and it was because Charterhouse was just thinking of how to make their money,” he further noted.
The ‘Asor’ hitmaker added that, “although Shatta Wale is a creative artiste, his behavior is nothing good to talk about. We live in a global village now and as a result, all that he’s doing goes out there painting a bad image for the country and people living outside Ghana will be facing the consequences.”
“That is why the Nigerian musicians teamed up together and treated Sarkodie the way they did at the just ended One Africa Music festival in Dubai,” Kwabena Kwabena stated.

Public Affairs Director of the Ghana Police, ACP David Eklu says what Shatta Wale did in the video could amount to an offence.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he noted that the act itself is an offence but the police would have to conduct further investigations.
“If you fire a gun without lawful and necessary reasons it is an offence,” he said.
The Police PRO explained that they will have to examine the video very carefully since it could have been doctored.
“I have seen the video I don’t know the circumstance under which the video was shot. For all we know it could have been tailored to create an impression,” he said.
Shatta Wale, in a viral video that surfaced online on Tuesday, could be seen firing warning shots which were alleged to be directed at Nigerian artistes including Wizkid, Patoranking and Timaya.

In an interaction with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Tic Tac said that Shatta Wale’s word really hurt him.
“For the first time in my life, I really felt down. He does not know how that comment hurt me. I didn’t expect such comments to come from him because I have stood for him a lot of times,” he said.
Tic Tac noted that he frowns upon Shatta Wale firing a gun in public all in the name of beefing with Nigerian artistes such as Wizkid, Patoranking, and Timaya.
The ‘Kangaroo’ hit maker then called on the authorities to do something about this act, which he said is a criminal offense.
“This is not a joke. Do we want to lose lives before we take it seriously? This is a country where laws work and we must put them to use in this case. Let’s use the law,” the hiplife artiste stressed.
The rapper urged musicians to maintain the peace and calm in the music industry. “This is Ghana music and anyone who wants to join the industry should join with peace or get out of it.”

“I will not see Wizkid and be stunned, I rather want him to see me and be amazed because I don’t see anything extraordinary about him, even though he claims to the best African artiste,” he said.
This comment was followed another jab by Shatta Wale at Wizkid on the social media platform, Twitter, where he invited dancehall and Reggae musician Samini, to join him in the ‘beef.’
Samini, however declined the offer, insisting Wizkid is a superstar just like him and Shatta Wale and all the other big names in African music. Samini added he had no interest in joining the fight, stating: “I am not a fan of beef, I am a vegetarian.”
The Shatta Movement king did not take this comment well, as he responded by throwing ‘shade’ at Samini, whom he mocked for having difficulty with the English language and described him as just a ‘hype artiste.’
“Oh but u @samini_dagaati english deh worry u like that.. ibe question i ask, say.. ‘u go like chop’.. now u deh talk like u get injury..eeiii papa twitter u for know say ano say u shaaaa waaaa oo but i just deh consider..lol….sorry i forget say u sef u be hype artiste,” Shatta Wale tweeted.
Meanwhile, other Ghanaian musicians have hopped on the Shatta Wale train, to support the dancehall artiste against Wizkid. D Cryme and Guru used their Twitter platforms to show support to the artiste, indicating that the Shatta Movement king is right in his rant against the famed Naija artiste.
