The family of Ruth Love Quayson, one of the girls kidnapped in the Western Regional capital, Takoradi, is calling for public support to enable them do a second DNA test.
The family said it doubts the credibility of the test conducted by the police due to the clandestine way it was done.
Sister of the missing girl, Rebecca Quayson on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, Wednesday said the DNA test from an independent source apart from the police will bring closure to the matter.
Ruth Love Quayson was part of four young ladies, Priscilla Blessing Bentum, Priscilla Mantebea and Ruth Abakah kidnapped last year.

After months of investigations, the police confirmed the girls had died following a DNA examination on some human remains found near the house of the suspect.
But, the families have rejected the results and called for an independent confirmation. They insist their daughters are still alive.
The Quayson family wants well-meaning Ghanaians to support them seek a second opinion on the matter.

Miss Quayson said they have lost confidence in the police due to the inconsistencies in their investigations.
The only way to put matters to rest, she added, is to do second test to bring finality to the matter.
