Stonebwoy’s manager, Chief Stylz, has poked Sarkodie’s manager, Angel Town, for publishing private WhatsApp conversations in an attempt to set the record straight over claims surrounding performance collaborations between the two artistes.
The latest development comes amid growing tensions between the two camps, following comments by Stonebwoy suggesting that he had not been the one to reach out to Sarkodie’s team over a possible collaboration or performance.
In an apparent effort to counter that claim, Angel Town shared screenshots of his WhatsApp exchanges with Chief Stylz, which suggested Stonebwoy’s team reached out first.
Chief Stylz, however, has questioned the decision to make their private conversations public, describing the move as unnecessary given the roles both men play in managing their respective artistes.
“My bruddaa, it’s quite unfortunate and unnecessary that you posted these, considering the critical roles we both play for these great individual artistes,” he said.
According to Chief Stylz, management should remain focused on securing the best opportunities for their artistes rather than becoming entangled in personal disagreements between them.
“Your role is to get the best possible deals for your clients without emotions. Let the artistes themselves deal with their personal stuff,” he added.
Despite his objection to the publication of their private exchanges, Chief Stylz has maintained that Sarkodie’s team was the first to initiate discussions about having the artistes perform at each other’s events.
He explained that the WhatsApp messages shared by Angel Town were merely follow-ups to an earlier phone conversation between the two managers.
“In any case, Angelo, you and I know very well that you called first to request Stone come for Rapperholic and Sark do same for BHIMFEST. The chat in the screenshot was follow-ups to our earlier phone conversation.”
Chief Stylz also took issue with the way the issue had developed into a dispute over whether Stonebwoy was telling the truth.
He argued that while the artistes may have their own grievances and emotions, management should not allow those personal issues to interfere with their professional responsibilities.
What began as a disagreement between two artistes has consequently drawn their managers further into the conversation.
