A Koforidua Magistrate court has remanded a 30 year old security officer, Isaac Tetteh in police custody for killing his biological parents at Tinkong.

Tetteh, who killed his parents with a bamboo stick after he suspected them to be the cause of his challenges in life, is expected to return to the court on December 17, 2018.

His plea was not taken.

According to the prosecution, the suspect is the first born of the deceased, Francis Tetteh and Rose Tetteh who are in their late 50s.

The suspect works with WESTEC Security Company and was said to have threatened to kill the parents but was not taken serious.

On December 9, around 16.30pm, the suspect attacked the mother with a bamboo stick but the mother was able to escape out of the house when Doris Tetteh, a sister to the suspect intervened.

The suspect then attacked his father who was around and tried to intervene.

The suspect hit the head of the father with the stick and he collapsed.

The father was rushed to the Koforidua Regional Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

The Mother who had returned to house was whacked at the entrance of their house by the suspect and she died on the spot.

The suspect after the act took to his heels but was pursued and arrested by some residents.
