Founder and Leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha has reacted to recent deadly road accidents that have claimed over 60 lives in the last few days.

Speaking on Adom FM’s Work and Happiness show with host OPD on Tuesday, Kumchacha advised drivers to prioritise safety of passengers they carry during journeys.

Scores of passengers on two huge buses, one, a VVIP bus and the other, an old bus with registration numbers GT 5694 – 18 and GT 3916 – 17 respectively, perished in a ghastly head-on collision that happened on the Techiman-Kintampo road around 4 a.m. on Friday, March 22 at Ampomakrom within the Pamdu Electoral Area of the Bono East region.

The Central Region crash involved a Metro Mass Transit bus with registration number AS 2951 – 10, travelling from Accra to Diaso, and a Yutong bus with registration number GN 4368 – 14, travelling in the opposite direction.

Reacting to this, the man of God suggested that drivers ought to be mindful of their mental health to have a sound mind to transport passengers to their destinations safely.

“Drivers should watch their speed limits because over speeding kills. Avoidance of caffeine and alcohol will also help curb it. Some drivers will never listen but boast of their driving experience when you ask them to decrease their speed. That is wrong,” he noted.

According to Kumchacha, the government should also focus on
fixing the roads.

“We don’t have to wait for road accidents to happen before we fix them. We always allow bad things to happen first which is unfair,” Kumchacha said.
