Asamoah Gyan, Black Stars General Captain

Pediatrician, Dr Ewura-Adjoa Nunoo of the Ridge Hospital, has said those short funny videos being released by the Black Stars players though a way of reducing stress, shouldn’t have been made public.

Videos starring Asamoah Gyan, Christian Atsu and Kwabena Owusu have been circulating on several social media platforms where the trio are seen displaying their acting skills in a humorous way.

Some believe the act by the players is not good for a team such as Ghana which is preparing for a showpiece like the Africa Cup of Nations.

Sharing his views on the matter, Dr Nunno said people have their own way of dealing with stress so laughing, cracking jokes, having fun might be a way the players feel can help reduce their stress.

“If the videos are helping them to relieve their stress, then they can continue doing it; just that they shouldn’t expose them to the public since it’s their own personal way of dealing with their stress. If you want to fool around or play, you should just keep it to yourself,” she told Asempa Sports.

“Maybe for you, you have to sleep and that’s okay for you, some people they have to drink alcohol. People do different things to relieve their stress, so everybody has their own way of reliving their stress; there is no particular way, but you as an individual should find what helps you when it comes to stress,” she advised.

The Black Stars of Ghana have left their training camp in Dubai for Cairo for the Nations Cup.
