The Matchday 31 fixtures of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League delivered a blend of dominant wins, late drama and key results that continue to shape both the title race and relegation battle across the country.

Action began on Friday, May 1, with Bechem United producing a convincing 3-1 victory over struggling Eleven Wonders at the Swedru Stadium.

Augustine Okrah set the tone early, scoring inside two minutes before doubling his tally in first-half stoppage time to give Bechem a comfortable lead. Eleven Wonders responded after the break through a 66th-minute strike that briefly raised hopes of a comeback, but Isaac Nyarko quickly restored Bechem’s two-goal cushion just three minutes later to seal the result.

On Saturday, Swedru All Blacks pulled off a late 2-1 comeback win against Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.

Vision FC took the lead in the 50th minute through Faruk Mohammed, but Rudolf Mensah levelled matters before Zayat Bubakari converted an 89th-minute penalty to snatch all three points. Vision FC’s misery was completed in stoppage time when Alidu Mohammed missed a penalty that could have rescued a draw.

Sunday’s fixtures produced more decisive outcomes.

Aduana FC were held to a goalless draw by 10-man Heart of Lions at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park, while Dreams FC impressed with a 2-0 victory over Asante Kotoko at the Tuba Astro Turf. Oumar Naffal opened the scoring in the 10th minute before Ebenezer Adade added a second after the break.

At the Aliu Mahama Stadium, Karela United edged Young Apostles 2-1. Hafiz Abdulai put the hosts ahead early in the second half, but Richmond Opoku equalised before Rahman Yaya struck deep into stoppage time to secure victory for Karela.

Medeama SC strengthened their title ambitions with a comfortable 2-0 win over Bibiani Gold Stars at TNA Park, courtesy of a first-half brace from Salim Adams.

Hearts of Oak also earned a vital away win, beating Nations FC 1-0 at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex through Mawuli Wayo’s early strike.

At the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, FC Samartex overpowered Basake Holy Stars 3-1. Akwasi Sarpong and Francis Gyetuah put the hosts in control before Prince Tweneboah pulled one back for the visitors. Christian Agyenim Boateng later sealed the win in the second half.

The scheduled clash between Hohoe United and Berekum Chelsea did not take place after Hohoe United withdrew from the topflight.

With the results, Medeama SC, Bibiani Gold Stars, Hearts of Oak and FC Samartex occupy the top four positions, while Berekum Chelsea, Hohoe United and Eleven Wonders remain in the relegation zone.
