It has emerged that some four accountants at the Western regional branch of the Nurses and Midwifery Council also forged stamps of the Bank of Ghana to embezzle funds.
The 2015 Auditor and Accountants General report stated that these four took a cue from their suprior who used the same means to siphon monies from the state coffers.
Adom FM’s morning show host, Captain Smart on his Fabewoso segment disclosed that one of the accountants claimed to have used 1.2 million cedis to buy a canon photocopier machine when the actual price was GHC9,000.
