The Ghana Police Service has launched ‘Operation hit hard’ in Kasoa to clampdown on the increasing armed robbery cases in the Central regional town.

This follows the arrest of five suspected armed robbers who engaged police in gun fight Sunday night.

Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, COP David Nenyin Ampah Bening revealed this in an exclusive interview with Adom News’ Central Regional Correspondent Kofi Adjei Monday.

He said the armed robber 11 in total were caught terrorizing residents of  Walantu, Lampey and Liberia camp all suburbs in Kasoa.

Six of them, the Police Commander noted, managed to escape and five were arrested.

But the five, COP Ampah Bening said are currently on remand and be processed for court on Tuesday October 3, 2017.

Meanwhile, the police has mounted a manhunt for the six who are currently at large.
