The debate over the circumstances surrounding the death of former Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North constituency, Joseph Danquah Adu appears to have been rekindled in Akyem Old Tafo in the Eastern Region, the hometown of the legislator.
Residents of the region woke up on Monday to see strange posters and banners questioning who killed the former lawmaker.
The posters and banners designed in red, black and white colours, with the picture of the late MP have the inscription: “We want to know who is behind the killing of former MP for Abuakwa North constituency, JB Dankwa-Adu? Sign a petition” ostensibly in a bid to get answers about the death of the former lawmaker.
The posters had been displayed at a strategic location in Akyem Old Tafo which is the hometown of JB Danquah.
Meanwhile, an Accra High Court has set 16 May 2017 for selection of jurors for the trial of Daniel Asiedu and Vincent Bossu, accused of murdering Abuakwa North MP JB Dankwa-Adu.
The late MP was stabbed to death in his room at his Shiashie residence.
The suspects have since denied murdering the late legislator.
The family of the late J B Danquah-Adu has since petitioned President Akufo Addo to launch fresh investigations into the circumstances leading to his death.
