The host of Asempa FM’s Sportsnite Show and Editor of Asempa Sports, Enoch Wolarnyo Wallace has been honoured by the Ghana Cycling Federation (GCF) for his outstanding contribution in promoting the sport in the country and beyond.
The awards ceremony was put together by the Federation following the 2017 cycling tour which ended successfully at Mantse Abgona in Accra.


Enoch Wolarnyo, the dynamic sports journalist was elated to receive the award and promised to continue promoting cycling which is the lesser known sport in Ghana .

Aside Prof Wallace, other cyclists were awarded for their sterling performance in promoting the sport.

Overall winner, Velo city’s Frank Akuffo took home with an amount of GH₵1,500.00 and again bagged GH₵ 900.00 as cash prize from the National Sports Authority.
The most promising female cyclist went to Clementina A. Young who just returned from a month training course in South Africa.
She was also awarded a cash prize of GH₵ 500.00.
Other institutions and personalities who were awarded included: Robert Safo (NSA Driver), Promasidor, Pens and Plastics, Lots Services, Law Group and CO; Alem Mumuni, Mr Mike Adjavon (Founder of Cycling), Mr Affort Peter (Former Chairman of Cycling), Rylax Travel and tours, and ‘Least Finance Sport’.
The Ghana Cycling Federation is committed to developing and promoting cycling in Ghana.
