Four people have been reported dead in a gory accident at Yapei in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah region.
According to sources, the accident occurred when a tipper truck and a salon car collided head-on which sparked fire.
Speaking in an interview with Adom News, a witness, identified as Iddi Latif, said the driver and mate of the tipper truck are safe.
“The Toyota Matrix with registration number GE 4126-11 was travelling towards Tamale with the tipper truck heading to Fulfuso which collided and sparked fire burning four people beyond recognition on the highway,” he said.
Policemen, military personnel and the ambulance service were at the scene as the Buipe Fire Service worked to control the fire.

The remains have since been carried away by the police and sent to the morgue.
