Ghanaian highlife legend, Rex Omar has lauded Zylofon-signed Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, for his new music video dubbed “Gringo”.
The Dancehall act is trending for all the right reasons as his new ‘Gringo’ video has gotten social media talking.
Shatta Wale has released the much-anticipated video for his new single, Gringo, a new single from his upcoming ‘Reign’ album.
The management of the controversial musician, Zylofon Music disclosed that the video is the most expensive video ever shot in the ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker’s music career.

After the video surfaced, some critics have commended the artiste whiles other claim the song is lyrically weak for a top artiste like Shatta Wale.
Some have even criticised video and for that matter the dancehall artiste for shotting a 7-minute-film that does not relate to the song.

But Rex Omar, who is allegedly suing Shatta’s record label Zylofon Music, has silenced all the negative critics through a Facebook post on Monday.
He noted that, “Gringo” hasn’t deviated from the Dancehall genre, asserting that it is a “world class music video”.

His post read: “Gringo is a real dance hall tune and the video is world class”.
“Gringo” was directed by ace Nigerian music video director, Sesan, and produced by David Nguyen.
It was shot in two locations in Texas, namely the cities of San Antonio and Blanco.
