Nigerian musician, Burna Boy has finally opened up on rumours that he was the mastermind behind the robbery of fellow singer, Mr 2kay, who was robbed at Eko Hotel and Suites.
Earlier, Police commissioner, Edgal Imohimi, during a press briefing, declared singer Burna Boy wanted over the incident.
He said: “Four armed robbers carried out the attack and detectives were able to arrest one of their girlfriends identified as ‘Matejero’ which led to the capture of the others.
“During interrogation, the robbers confessed that they were hired by Burna Boy through his manager, Joel Kantiock, who was also arrested in Zaria, Kaduna State.
“They confessed to receiving a part payment of N50,000 before the job and another N50,000 was paid to the robbers directly by Burna Boy when the job was done.’ the commissioner asserted.
But the ‘Lagos party’ hitmaker has rubbished his alleged involvement in the armed robbery saying ‘lies and politics have surrounded my name these past few weeks.’
He added that he will reveal the truth through his Instagram account on a show dubbed ‘Postponement’.
“I’ve tried to remain silent because as you all know, plenty talk no dey full basket but Today we go use bucket pack am. Today you will hear THE TRUTH & I will start from the truth behind the SHOW “Postponement”’.
“I will do a full Instagram live video so my fans can understand the whole thing & Clear it all once and for All…” he maintained in a tweet.
