Former WBO Africa super welterweight champion, Patrick Allotey has apologized for his conduct of assaulting a football fan.

Allotey, 26, was captured in a video assaulting a football fan at the Accra Sports Stadium during a match between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko on January 26.

The boxer was seen in the video punching the victim who has been identified as Michael Siaw.

The Ghana Boxing Authority has sanctioned Allotey for six months for the assault.

However, speaking on Sports Link on Joy FM over the weekend, Allotey apologized for what he himself described as “my shameless behaviour”.

However, Allotey has been charged Ghc100,000 for the assault.
