Organizers of the Ghana Music Awards, Charter House, have asked “One Corner” crooner, Patapaa Amisty, to come forth and apologize or prove they are a corrupt organization.
Patapaa, after losing the ‘Most Popular Song of the year at the VGMA last weekend, described the organizers of the show as corrupt, accusing them of taking bribes from artistes to aid them win awards.

He told JOY NEWS that, he lost because the organizers took “stupid money” to hand the award to Fancy Gadam.
Like Patapaa, other artistes in the country have also registered their displeasure for awarding Fancy Gadam’s “Total Cheat” as ‘Most Popular Song’ at the VGMA.

But, in an interview with George Quaye, the Public Relations Officer of Charter House, said: “If Patapaa has an evidence of us taking money from any nominee, he should release else he should apologise to the board, academy and the general public for that comment.”
He described the statement from Patapaa Amisty as unfortunate.

  1. Despite how one corner was been portray,either bad or good it was all over the country and let me ask”which song of Fancy Gadam was popular like one corner?.when the award was popularity base,then something is wrong somewhere.

  2. The question I asked myself is, was Fancy gadam “Total cheat” part of the songs nominated for that category? If yes, were all songs in the category qualified to win? If yes, then why fancy gadam not qualify to win the award. HIPPOCRATES!!
