The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Ghana’s online passport application platform has been restored after technical difficulties temporarily affected access to the service.
In a public notice issued on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, the Ministry said its technical team, in collaboration with the National Signals Bureau, had successfully resolved the challenges affecting the platform.
“As an update, the Ministry is pleased to inform the public that our website, passport.mfa.gov.gh, is back up and running,” the statement said.
“Our technical team and the National Signals Bureau have resolved the technical issues.”
The Ministry said members of the public can now access the platform at passport.mfa.gov.gh to apply for passports and use other related services.
It further thanked applicants and the general public for their patience and understanding while efforts were underway to restore the service.
The restoration of the platform is expected to ease difficulties faced by applicants who were unable to access the online passport services during the disruption.
