Former Deputy Sports Minister, Joseph Yamin has lashed out at Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo Maafo for claiming there is unbridled corruption in Ghana football.
Speaking at the launch of anti-corruption and transparency week on Monday, the Honorable minister who led Ghana to her first World Cup in 2006 stated that “Corruption in football  got so deep after 2010  in this country”.
And in response  to the above statement, Mr. Yamin lamented that, ”I  really don’t know what he intend to achieve but as an elderly person you don’t just speak in a vacuum. He should be specific   and not speak like a serial caller “.
“I can’t believe he said corruption in Ghana football became endemic in 2010,I mean what kind of logic is that?”, he added.
Yamin, a former deputy Ashanti Regional Minister in the NDC administration, became infamous after his government mobilized money and chartered a flight to Brazil during the country’s wrecked World Cup campaign.
