Duraplast Limited has announced plans to resume operations on Monday, October 5, following a fire outbreak at one of its sites in Accra.
In a public announcement, the company said the fire and smoke incident occurred on October 1 and was brought under control without posing any further threat to its operations.
Management expressed gratitude to the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), the Mayor of Accra, the Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Armed Forces, NADMO, ECG, Ghana Water and other security agencies for their swift response in containing the fire.
The company also thanked residents and neighbouring communities for their support during the incident.
“We are equally grateful to our neighbours and members of the community who came to our rescue and supported us during this difficult moment,” the statement said.
Duraplast further expressed appreciation to its customers, business partners and other stakeholders for their concern, patience and continued support following the incident.
The company assured stakeholders that work would resume on October 5 and pledged to keep them updated on developments.
“Every challenge leaves its mark, but it does not define our story. From the ashes, the rubble, and the dust, we will rise again — stronger, better, bigger, and more determined than ever,” management said.
The company added: “Like the phoenix, we rise not simply to return, but to rebuild, renew, and soar.”

We are deeply grateful to God that the situation has been brought under control, with no further threat to our operations.
