A Deputy Minister of Trade, Carlos Ahenkorah has described former Deputy Education Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa as a ‘thief and a liar’ who ought not to be taken seriously.
According to the Tema West MP, Okudzeto has lied throughout his life and made fortunes out of ‘stealing’.
The Deputy Trade Minister made the comments during a debate over the actual amount the Ministry charged businessmen who sat closer to the President during a recently organized summit for businessmen.
According to reports, business owners were charged as much as $100,000 to sit close to the President at the Ghana Expatriate Business Awards held on December 8, 2017 at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra.
Minority Spokesperson on Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said the monies charged amount to corruption because Trade Ministry used the office of the president for personnel gains.
But Carlos Ahenkorah maintained the MP is peddling falsehood for cheap political points.
He thus referred to him as a ‘liar and a thief’.
