The Asawase Constituency office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has, by popular acclamation, elected Asokore Mampong Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji Alidu Seidu, as parliamentary candidate.
He was the sole candidate in the process which went ahead despite a court injunction secured by aggrieved aspirant, Manaf Ibrahim, who was disqualified by the party.
Officials say no court order was formally served on them, hence, the decision to proceed with the delegate’s conference.
Alhaji Seidu pledged to resolve all internal disputes in order to prepare the ground for the NPP to win the Asawase seat, for once, in 2020.
