The Germany Branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated the party’s newly elected National Executives and called for unity and reconciliation ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In a statement signed by the Branch Secretary, Kofi Okantah, the branch said the new leadership had received a strong mandate from delegates and party members in Ghana and abroad.
It said the outcome of the national executive elections reflected the confidence of the party’s rank and file in the new executives’ vision, competence and ability to lead the party into the 2028 elections.
The branch also commended all candidates who contested the elections but were unsuccessful, describing their participation as a demonstration of patriotism, dedication and commitment to the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition.
It urged the unsuccessful candidates to remain engaged with the party, stressing that their ideas, energy and experience remained valuable to the NPP.
According to the Germany Branch, the completion of the internal elections should mark the beginning of a renewed focus on the party’s broader political objective.
It is therefore appealing to the national leadership, grassroots activists, external branches and aggrieved members to put aside internal differences and rally behind the newly elected executive team.
The branch said a united party would be better positioned to translate its shared values into an effective strategy for the 2028 elections.
The NPP Germany Branch also called for stronger collaboration between the party’s national leadership and its external branches.

It proposed regular consultative forums with diaspora branches, greater involvement of diaspora expertise in party policy committees, manifesto drafting and governance planning, as well as capacity-building support to strengthen mobilisation among Ghanaian communities abroad.
The branch said it was ready to mobilise resources, promote the party’s vision across the diaspora and strengthen collaboration with the new national leadership.
It expressed confidence that reconciliation, unity and collective effort would help the party rebuild momentum and regain the trust of the Ghanaian electorate ahead of 2028.
