Some party executives of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Tamale Central and Tamale South constituencies of the Northern Region, want the Tamale Chief Executive, Iddrisu Musah, also known as Musah Superior out of office.
According to the Tamale South Constituency Secretary, Yussif Danjuma, the mayor is running a parallel administration without recourse to the party’s concerns within the metropolis.

He said the mayor is disrespecting and disregarding party structures, a situation they describe as very worrying and no longer tolerable.
“Mr Superior is undermining the political authorities in the region and showing outright disrespect towards the constituency and regional executives, a situation we can no longer tolerate,” he said on Accra-based Neat FM monitored by Adomonline.com.
He further disclosed that the last time the party met Mr Superior, he apologised profusely and was forgiven but subsequently, “his actions and inactions are worse than ever before”.

“We have no other option than to call for his immediate dismissal since that is the only language he comprehends” he stressed.
Yussif Danjuma said the Mayor runs his administration without consulting the constituency executives under his Metropolis and disrespects the executives with outright contempt.
The constituency executives also accuse the Mayor of undermining the authority of the his deputy, and awards contracts to himself and his cronies to the disadvantage of party members.

“No single contract has he ever been awarded to the current crop of executives for both constituencies to support them to run the party fulfilling his own promise to do so. Ever since he declared his intentions to contest the NPP primaries in the Mion constituency, his appetite for the development of his constituency is very glaring for any careful observer, much to the detriment of the two constituencies under Tamale metro,” he claimed.
The executives are, therefore, asking the President to immediately sack Musah Superior as mayor for Tamale with immediate effect else he will face their wrath.
