The Governing Board of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has paid a courtesy call on Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings to congratulate her on her election as Second Vice President of the Pan-African Parliament.
The visit, led by Board Chairman Larry Adjetey, took place on Wednesday, May 14, 2026, in Accra, and brought together senior board members and management of the Authority.

The delegation described her election as a major milestone not only for Ghana but also for the NHIA, where she serves as a board member.
The Pan-African Parliament, an organ of the African Union, serves as a platform for promoting integration, cooperation, and democratic governance across member states.
During the visit, the NHIA Board presented a citation of honour praising Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings for her leadership, public service, and growing influence on the continental stage.

Board Chairman Larry Adjetey commended her achievement, noting that members made time out of their busy schedules to celebrate what he described as a proud moment for the institution.
In her response, Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings expressed gratitude to the Board for the gesture, describing it as deeply meaningful and emotionally uplifting.

She acknowledged the responsibility that comes with her new role, adding that she remains committed to serving Ghana and contributing to continental development through the Pan-African Parliament.
Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings was elected Second Vice President of the Pan-African Parliament on April 30, 2026, in South Africa, securing a decisive victory with 131 votes.
Her election places her in the Bureau of the Parliament, which provides leadership direction for the legislative body of the African Union.
