David Prah, Eastern Regional Communications Director of the NPP

The Eastern Regional Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), David Prah has slammed the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) describing it as an unattractive political party in the region.

Mr Prah’s comment come after the NDC failed to get candidates in 21 constituencies out of 33 constituencies in the Eastern region to contest in their parliamentary primaries.

In a statement signed by the Eastern Regional Ag. Secretary of the NDC, Codjoe Adukpo earlier in the wèek, the NDC said it will hold parliamentary primaries in only 10 constituencies with two constituencies having unopposed candidates.

Speaking to the media in the Eastern Regional Capital, Koforidua, Mr Prah said the massive developmental projects being witnessed in the Eastern region under the presidency of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had boosted the morale of the people of the region not to associate themselves with the opposition NDC.

He mentioned the Free Senior High School Policy, Planting for Food and Jobs, One-District One-Factory and numerous road constructions among other projects as some of the NPP projects.

“My brother, I believe NDC members in the region are living witnesses to the massive developmental projects which are on-going in the region and therefore will not want to waste their money to contest on the ticket of unattractive NDC since they are aware that NDC will not win the 2020 elections and beyond,” Mr Prah said.
