President of the republic, Nana Addo will leave Ghana for the republic of Liberia to have crucial talks with the president and also the Ghanaian community there.

This visit by Nana follows an earlier on to Sierra Leone where he had conversations with the president on how best Ghana and Sierra Leone can deepen its trade ties and engagements.

Nana’s visit to Liberia is expected to be the 3rd phase of visits to West Africa after touring powerful economies as Madagascar, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Togo.

As he embarks on this trip, one thing remains certain, the thirst to make Ghana’s economy work again through the partnering with ECOWAS members in terms of trade and border alliance.

The move by Nana Addo can be considered a calculated approach to getting all economies in West Africa unite for the common good of ECOWAS.

This is because the sub-region is currently being faced with suffocating trade barriers that have the potential of impeding growth and development should leaders not deal with the matter in the urgency it deserves.
