Musician and producer, Nacee has been in the news for some time after the release of his secular new single ‘Boys Boys’ which featured hiplife artiste, Guru.

The song, which is one of the reigning songs in Ghana recently, is Number 2 on the Airtel Chart Show on Adom FM.

‘Boys Boys’, apart from the attacks on Nacee, whom many believed was a gospel musician, has generated speculations on both social media and on air that Yaa Pono was initially supposed to be featured on the song and not Guru.

Reacting to the speculations, Yaa Pono told Andy Dosty on Muzik Box on Hitz that he never had the chance to listen to the song although it was sent to his manager.

He added that the development was not deliberate because he had to hold on with featuring on songs because he was working on his debut album, ‘Faster than gods’.

“I never had the song. It was sent to my manager and at that time I was recording my album and things were a lot on me and I had to hold on a lot of features to finish the album. So, all I heard was the song was out,” he revealed.

Though the rapper admitted that Guru’s feature on the song was good, he said Nacee should have waited to get him on the track.

Yaa Pono emphasized that the feature would have opened a new page and add up to his career.

“I did not really regret not being featured on the song but of course it would have been an eye opener because every music has to make you reach somewhere,” he said.
