Jorvago

Motivated by quotes from top acts such as Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini and Sarkodie, who have urged upcoming acts never to give up on their crafts, Dzorvakpor Luis Yao with the stage name Jorvago is ready to take Ghana by storm.

The budding musician, who hails from Aflao and is currently based in America, realised his music potential when he was influenced by reggae music at the age of 7.

He began writing his own songs and that has upped his ability and dexterity to prove himself to Ghana. He started his professional music career in 2008 as a member of ‘2 heads’ music group.

He later went solo under the name Jorvago where he recorded his first song ‘Gbenze’ at GrooveZone studios.

Jorvago’s musical style is extremely versatile, one can find a bit of reggae, Afro-contemporary, and other rhythms.

In an interview with Adomonline.com, he pressed on that he was influenced by artistes such Lucky Dube, Eric Donaldson, Bob Marley, Shaggy, Samini, Terry Bonchaka and Fela Kuti.

Budding musician Jorvago, already has songs to his credit and is waiting for the apt moment to shine in the music industry.

Due to his love for cars he got into Accra Technical University, and majored in Mechanical Engineering where he graduated in 2016.

Jorvago (middle) also follows his family path by joining the US army but claims music is his first love at all costs
