Founder and President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe says he is not surprised about the seeming frustration expressed by the Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu over the level of cooperation he receives from the executive on his work.
According to him, his lamentation is an attestation of government’s commitment to fighting corruption in the country.

Mr Amidu has claimed ministers have refused to offer him the kind of support he requires to be able to deliver on his mandate.
“You ask for information you can’t get it, you ask for docket, the docket cannot be produced. You ask a minister for a record, the record cannot be produced. How do you fight corruption when those appointed by the president who has a vision are not coordinating with the office of the special prosecutor to achieve his mandate? That is the challenge we have to face,” the anti-corruption crusader bemoaned at a National Audit Forum organised by the Ghana Audit Service in Accra.
Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Friday, Franklin Cudjoe said it is obvious Martin Amidu is a loner.

He wondered why people expect the Citizen Vigilante to fight corruption when it lacks resources to do his work.
The IMANI boss stressed that; fighting corruption cannot be done by public show with the appointment of Special Prosecutor.
On the way forward, Franklin Cudjoe said until we discard the procurement economy, corruption will continue to be a bane in Ghana.
