The National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has claimed that former Attorney General, Martin Amidu’s recent utterances regarding Former President Mahama are borne out of ‘jealousy’.
His comment comes after the anti-corruption campaigner in his write-up chastised the NDC for defending the Electoral Commissioner.
Mr. Amidu in the write up alleged that the beleaguered chairperson of the Commission, Charlotte Osei was appointed by former President John Mahama to rig the 2016 elections in his favor.
But Mr. Adams, who was the NDC’s 2016 campaign coordinator disagreed claiming the allegations by Martin Amidu are baseless.
The comments, he said were made because Martin Amidu is jealous of the ‘hardwork’ of former President John Mahama who he claims has achieved more than Martin Amidu in politics.
“I think Martin Amidu is just jealous and hates Mahama. He can’t stand the fact that President Mahama has achieved more than him and therefore has resorted to insulting him and accusing him wrongly. He is just bitter that he was denied his dream of becoming a Vice Presidential candidate of the NDC.
“Martin Amidu doesn’t deserve any recognition and needs not to be given any attention and so I will never take him serious because everything he talks about is just borne out of bitterness and jealousy,” he said on Accra based Okay FM.
Kofi Adams accused Martin Amidu of fabricating lies against Mr Mahama to create public disaffection for him and his family.
The 2016 NDC campaign Coordinator, however noted that the party would not be distracted by the comments of Martin Amidu but would rather focus on the core mandate of winning back power in 2020.
