Most famous personalities don’t reveal their age on their birthdays but Hitz FM’s Programmes Manager and President of the Creative Arts Council, Mark Okraku Mantey has changed the status quo.
As a panellist on the Daybreak Hitz morning show, Mark decided to reveal his age when he was pushed by host Andy Dosty as today marks his birthday.
He began by telling them a little history of how he started playing for night clubs as a DJ at the age of 16, claiming he didn’t know it was illegal, till he started working for Joy FM at the age of 21.

Revealing his true age, Mark said:
“Ten years ago I sat on TV3 mentor on a Sunday and confirmed I was 35. Today, I am 45 years and I am not lying about it,” he said.

Mark was surprised with a cake and blessed with a soothing prayer from the host of “This is Gospel” on Hitz FM, Franky 5.
Mark Okraku-Mantey who doubles as Programmes Manager of Hitz FM, is a household name in the Ghanaian music industry.
He is known for producing music in the 90s and early 2000s before shifting full time to radio management.
