Apostle Dr. Nii Teiko Tagoe, a respected mental health consultant, counsellor, life coach, advocate and media personality with Multimedia Group Limited (Adom TV and Asempa FM), has been installed as the Abusuapanin (family head) of the Asona Royal Family at Akyem Nwinso in the Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area.
The colourful ceremony brought together chiefs, queen mothers, elders and residents, with traditional rites performed to formally induct him into his new role.

As Abusuapanin, Apostle Dr. Tagoe will be responsible for maintaining unity within the family, settling disputes, and ensuring peace and cohesion among members.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief of Akyem Nwinso, Obrempong Yeboah Osei Hwidie II, urged traditional leaders to uphold the dignity and sanctity of the chieftaincy institution. He stressed that chieftaincy remains one of Ghana’s oldest pillars of governance, culture and unity, and called on chiefs to avoid disputes while working towards peace and community development.

In his acceptance speech, Apostle Dr. Nii Teiko Tagoe expressed gratitude to the family and traditional authorities for the honour. He pledged to promote unity, resolve conflicts, and maintain peace within the family.

He also committed to advancing education among the youth, supporting local development initiatives, and empowering members of the community.

Apostle Dr. Tagoe further called on residents to embrace togetherness and collaboration to drive the growth and well-being of Akyem Nwinso.
