The historic outdooring of the new Ya Naa, Abukari Mahama II, as the overlord of the Dagbon traditional area is happening now at the Jubilee Park in Yendi.

The people of Dagbon after 17 years of protracted chieftaincy disputes are heaving a sigh of relief as Abukari Mahama II is crowned the new king.

The ceremony starts with a coronation process where there would be a recital of the Holy Quran at the forecourt of the Gbewaa Palace before it’s moved to Jubilee Park.
