A 57-year-old man, Kwasi Boateng, has committed suicide in a village called Kukuwah near Sampa in the Brong-Ahafo region after he allegedly shot and killed his wife Akosua Ntem.
Police Commander for Jaman North, DSP William Gyamfi who confirmed the incident to Adom News said, it is unclear what led to the incident but their grandson raised alarm when the incident happened.
“We don’t know how they were related. They were staying with their grandson and he was the one who informed neighbors about the incident which occurred in their house…” he said.
He added that investigations have begun and the bodies have been deposited at the Sampa Government hospital.
