A 26-year-old man has been arrested by Yendi Police in the Northern region for possessing firearms.
The suspect, Muniru Musah was found with ammunitions Thursday night at the Ya Naa palace.
Information gathered by Adom News’ Illiasu Abdul Rauf indicate that the suspect entered Ya Naa’s palace with seven rounds pistol around 12:30 am Thursday but was apprehended by the security guards at the palace.
The Northern Regional Police Public Relations officer, ASP Mohammed Yussif Tanko confirmed this to Adom News Friday.
He indicated that Muniru Musah was thoroughly searched by the guards at the palace and they found the refiles with him.
ASP Tanko added that they detained the suspect and called the police who effected arrest and he is currently in police custody assisting in investigations.
