A 24-year-old man, Kwasi Akyine, has drowned in River Asonsu at Breman Brakwa in the Central region.
Information gathered suggested Shatta Wale, as he is popularly known, drowned while swimming with his friends in the river.

He was retrieved from the river and rushed to the hospital by some youth of Breman Brakwa.
Meanwhile, the Breman Brakwa police are currently investigating the issue.

The body of the deceased has been sent to Our Lady of Grace Hospital morgue at Breman Asikuma.
