Nigerian singer and songwriter, Mr Eazi, has lauded fellow musician Patapaa as he advised upcoming artistes to emulate his style of music.

According to the ‘Bankulize’ hitmaker, Patapaa executes his music with energy and determination to succeed despite criticisms.

Patapaa’s work attitudes, he said if emulated by underground artistes, will bring positive results.

“Look at Patapaa and when you learn, look behind the scenes and see some guy who thinks he is talented, believes in himself, putting out his music despite criticisms, in his mind he thinks he is like Jay Z,” he said in an interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz AtoZ.

He noted that even though there was no or little marketing budget for Patapaa, his songs dominate the airwaves because he has involved his immediate community into his activities, advising artistes to toe his line and start organically.

Mr Easi said his admiration for Patapaa increased when he sighted videos of him during an European tour where he performed with vigor to a crowd of three as though it was a sold out concert.

“I saw Patapaa, he was performing to a crowd, maybe just three or four people but he was performing like it was 300,000 people and I took that from him,” he revealed.
