The National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has urged delegates to consider his track record and contributions to the party as they decide who should become the next National Organiser.
Mr Salam said his decision to contest the position was grounded in his years of service to the NPP and the experience he had gained through various responsibilities within the party.
Speaking on Accra-based Channel One TV, he appealed to delegates to assess his performance and contribution to the party before casting their ballots.
He said his record should be a key consideration in determining whether he deserves to be entrusted with the position.
“Look at my track record, what I’ve been able to do for the party, and elevate me to the next position,” he said.
Mr Salam also reaffirmed his commitment to the NPP, promising to continue giving his best to the party if elected.
He described the NPP as the political organisation that had nurtured his career and given him opportunities to rise from relative obscurity to national prominence.
“I promise that I will continue to give my best to the party. Because it’s the party that has nurtured me, the party that has raised me and for the honour done me, taking a small boy from obscurity to the limelight known across the length and breadth of Ghana and even across the globe,” he said.
He said the party’s investment in his political career had strengthened his commitment to its growth and success.
“I think that the NPP has invested so much in me. Any day I will stand firm for this party,” he added.
